      Hi all,

I would like to book some tours in Rome from home prior to leaving so that I can avoid paying higher prices and waiting in line.

Does anyone know which tour companies are the best or safest? would like to do the tour of the Vatican and Coliseum.

For example, I found the best tours in Rome Eyes of Rome, other ideas are welcome for tours.

      Thanks!

I’ve recently done a tour of the Vatican with my mom and was very grateful that I spent the extra money to arrange a private tour through a certified Vatican guide.  I had been to the Vatican previous times on my own but having the guide made a big difference in navigating through all the tour groups and getting oodles of information.  We booked our tour through Massimiliano Canneto, massicanneto@gmail.com

Massimiliano was unavailable and his colleague, Rosalba, was our guide.  In addition to being our guide, Rosalba personally made sure my mom (who is older and small), did not get trampled.  At the end of the day, we were sad to say our farewells to Rosalba who has been at the Vatican for 20+ years.

Yes! Sonia Tavoletta is a super private-guide we have used and recommended. You can email her here: SoniaTavoletta63@gmail.com.
