GUARANTEED BEST PROVENANCE:
IMPORTED FROM ITALY BY AIR AND STOCKED IN CALIFORNIA

These are collector-quality wines, flown back directly from Italy. They’re perfect for laying down in your cellar, and you won’t find better cared for bottles than ours.

At the youthful age of 22, Romano dal Forno learned the art of making spectacular Amarone della Valpolicella from the master, Giuseppe Quintarelli, With his 3 sons Marco, Luca and Michele, Romano continues to set the standard for powerful, ripe and concentrated Amarone.

The 2008 vintage is a blockbuster. Full-bodied is an understatement, this inky-black Amarone is powerful & rich with jammy blackberries, blueberries, and plums. The delicious notes of tobacco and toasted cacao linger on the finish. This is serious Amarone.

If you dare to drink this young, then decant and let it breathe for a good, long while — at least an hour or two.  I’d let it rest in the cellar until at least 2020, but you will be dazzled if you decide to open it earlier. Salute!
