I met Paolo Veglio at a private dinner of winemaker friends in Cortona at Pane e Vino, only to fall hard for his tiny-production Barbaresco.
Bing cherry, cranberry, baking spices, hearty tannins, good structure yet quite elegantly balanced. Delicious.
Paolo's Barbaresco should age nicely, I'd stick a few bottles in the cellar for future Piemontesi dinners of roast pork, beef tagliata, and carne cruda.
