2015 Trebbiano from Emidio Pepe? Yes! Not yet available from the US importer, I’ve hunted them down and flown them over to the US to share. These are fresh bottles imported directly from Italy where Emidio Pepe releases wines earlier to a very hungry Italian wine crowd. Now you can join them too, exclusively through Dall’Uva.
Emidio’s Trebbiano is a pretty special wine, and you’ll want to open this and let it rest for at least 30 minutes before diving in. Funky at first on the nose, but evolving into something lovely with a lot of complexity. It shines with yellow apple, dried hay and herbal notes. Medium to full-bodied with good acid structure, tasty minerality and very long on the finish. I love this wine.
