Amarone is known for big, full-bodied wines bursting with fruit and high alcohol. This Amarone won't disappoint.
The big, big brother of the Grassi Valpolicella, this is delicious & refined with rich ripe plums, bing cherries, oven-baked blackberry jam, with cloves, nutmeg, a hint of cardamom, and pleasing acidity. The finish is endless.
There are only 800 cases made of this wonderful Amarone, and I'm lucky to get any to share. You might find a few dubious bottles of this elsewhere online, but the provenance doesn't get any better than this (we fly it over, straight from Roccolo Grassi's cantina).
I love opening this with a small group of friends. It blows them away. Cheers!
